A remastered Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the
3DS R4 will likely be ready by June, a 25th anniversary title is on how, and Skyward Sword for that Wii is shaping up nicely, in line with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.
"Some person might want to listen to Zelda. Our intention is good for you to definitely be playing this June," said Iwata in the Game Developers Conference opening keynote on March 2, standing in front of six screenshots with the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
The sport was initially released in 1998 on
3DS SuperCard home console and has since been re-issued on GameCube (2002) and also for the Wii via the machine's online Virtual Console service.
The
3DS TT version should be to take advantage of the handheld's touchscreen and 3D display, with enhanced graphics start.
"This year oahu is the 25th anniversary with the Legend of Zelda," Iwata continued. "(Series producer) Mr Miyamoto is working on a plan that will allow all Zelda lovers to celebrate together."
A 25th anniversary edition of Super Mario All-Stars was already released late 2010 in honor of the Nintendo mascot's own introduction in Super Mario Bros., as became a red-color Wii.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword "feels very solid," said Iwata before stepping aside to learn a montage of gameplay footage.
Nintendo of America's president, Reggie Fils-Aime, had earlier spoken of Nintendo's strategy of offering both "unique and nostalgic" game experiences.
Sony and Microsoft have instead pursued more cutting edge technologies with their recent consoles, for instance high-definition video output and online multiplayer gaming.
