A different Facebook group is calling on consumers to boycott
Nintendo 3DS R4 handheld console mainly because it fuels human rights abuses in the Congo.
The
3DS M3 is because of hit The united states on March 27th, but group creator Ben Wiley highlights that portions of it are manufactured from 'conflict minerals' mined by oppressed and infrequently maltreated workers from the Central African country.
Although endeavoring to slow
3DS SuperCard sales is unlikely to be effective (all 400,000 launch units out of stock in Japan when released on Saturday), Wiley says he'd be able to raise understanding of the issue through media coverage (which this post is triggering and OMG I'M Simply a COG In the MACHINE).
With skull-crushing inevitability, the group's page has already turned into Tard Central, with various outraged Nintendo fans denouncing Wiley. Many point out that Nintendo is simply one of a large number of companies with such ethical practices, but I guess targeting an incredibly current device just like the 3DS helps Wiley's word go for it. Which is the whole point.
Being the vile, conscience-free imperialist bastard I will be, I'm probably still picking up a 3DS.
